Data protection information
Protecting your personal data is a priority for us. We process your data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG) and the Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021). This notice describes data processing on www.mikis-ki.at.

Website access and hosting
When the website is delivered through a web server, technical connection data such as IP address, timestamp, requested address, status code and browser information is processed to deliver and secure the website. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure operation of the website. The local file preview does not contact a hosting provider. Details of production hosting, recipients and log retention periods will be added before publication based on the actual operating environment.
Contacting us
When you contact us by email, telephone or contact form, we process the information you provide to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. When you submit the enquiry form, we send your details to Expert Solutions Strahlhofer by email and send an acknowledgement to your email address. Form data is not stored in the TYPO3 database. In the local development environment, emails are captured exclusively in a local test mailbox. An email enquiry sent through your email application, however, is actually transmitted to us.
Contract-related enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR to take steps prior to entering into a contract or to perform a contract. Other enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is responding to your contact request.
Completed general enquiries are deleted after six months. Documents relevant to contracts and billing are retained to meet applicable statutory retention obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR and, where necessary, to establish or defend claims under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Backups may contain deleted messages until they are overwritten in the normal backup cycle.
The required form details are needed to process and respond to your enquiry. Without them, we cannot process a form enquiry. You are under no obligation to use the form and can also contact us by telephone.
Website usage analysis with Matomo
With your voluntary consent, we use our own Matomo installation at stat-mikis.strahlhofer.com to improve our website. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; Section 165(3) TKG 2021 applies to access to your device requiring consent. No Matomo script is loaded and no analytics events are sent before you consent.
We record page views using fixed page names and selected actions: telephone and email clicks, visits to the enquiry section, example selections, opened FAQs, the mobile menu and the back-to-top button. A successful contact form is recorded only after confirmed submission. Events use predefined labels. Contact addresses, URL parameters, free-form fragments, referring URLs and form entries are not transmitted.
Matomo is configured in the website code without tracking cookies, browser fingerprint detection or campaign detection. No user IDs or referring URLs are transmitted. Loading the analytics service technically requires a network connection during which the IP address is processed. In the Matomo installation, IP addresses are fully masked, tracking cookies are blocked on the server and random visitor identifiers are used for each action. Referring URLs are not stored. Analytics transmission is disabled in the local preview.
You can decline analytics and continue using the website, including the enquiry form. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future through the cookie icon or “Cookie settings” in the footer. The lawfulness of processing before withdrawal remains unaffected.
Automatic deletion of raw data or aggregated reports is currently not enabled in the Matomo installation. There is therefore currently no fixed automatic deletion period. Withdrawing consent stops further collection; it does not automatically delete data already collected.
Storing your analytics preference
Your analytics preference is stored in your browser's local storage for up to 180 days. The entry contains your choice, expiry date and configuration reference, with no individual visitor identifier. This enables us to respect your explicit choice (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and Section 165(3) TKG 2021 for the storage required for this purpose).
Local presentation
The local TYPO3 website uses a fixed visual design. Fonts and images are served locally.
Recipients and external content
We and the technical service providers used for hosting, email and backups access data to the extent necessary for our tasks. Further disclosures take place where required by law or necessary to fulfil your order. Data is not shared for third-party advertising. Details of production hosting and its processing locations will be added before publication.
Fonts, images and graphics are served by our website. No maps, external video players or external AI services are embedded. External links establish a connection to the destination only when opened; the respective provider's privacy notice then applies.
Your rights
Subject to statutory conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. Please contact office@strahlhofer.com.
You may lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority: dsb.gv.at. No automated decision-making, including profiling, with legal or similarly significant effects takes place.
