1. General Information
Mikis is an AI-powered software solution designed for the intelligent processing, retrieval, structuring, analysis, and generation of information. Depending on the setup, Mikis may be operated locally, in a private cloud environment, or in connection with selected third-party systems.
The platform is intended for the secure use of organization-specific data, documents, and knowledge bases. Content, answers, analyses, summaries, recommendations, classifications, translations, and other outputs generated by Mikis may be produced in whole or in part by means of artificial intelligence.
2. No Substitute for Human Review
The outputs generated by Mikis are intended solely to support research, documentation, communication, workflow, and decision-making processes.
Mikis does not replace human professional judgment, legal review, technical assessment, organizational control, or any other case-specific evaluation.
In particular, Mikis does not constitute legal advice, tax advice, medical advice, security assessment, or any other regulated professional service.
3. Possibility of Incorrect or Incomplete Results
Despite careful configuration, data preparation, and ongoing optimization, Mikis and any connected AI models may produce incorrect, incomplete, misleading, outdated, biased, or otherwise inaccurate results.
This may occur in particular where:
- prompts or inputs are ambiguous or incomplete,
- the underlying data is inconsistent or insufficient,
- the available sources are contradictory,
- document sets are incomplete or unsuitable,
- connected models, interfaces, or third-party systems change,
- complex or open-ended questions require interpretation.
4. User Obligation to Review Outputs
All content, answers, recommendations, analyses, summaries, classifications, translations, or other outputs generated by Mikis must be reviewed by the user before they are used, published, relied upon, or shared with third parties.
This applies in particular before:
- publication or distribution of content,
- communication with customers, authorities, courts, or other third parties,
- use in legally, financially, technically, or operationally relevant decisions,
- application in sensitive areas such as HR, healthcare, law, public administration, compliance, funding, security, or finance.
The responsibility for reviewing, approving, interpreting, and using Mikis outputs lies solely with the respective user or the organization deploying the system.
5. No Warranty for Accuracy or Fitness for Purpose
No warranty is given for the factual accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency, or fitness for a particular purpose of any output generated by Mikis.
In particular, no representation is made that:
- outputs will be error-free at all times,
- answers will be complete or legally reliable,
- results will be suitable for a specific use case,
- all relevant information will be identified or considered,
- internal or external data sources will always be complete, accurate, or up to date.
6. No Liability for Unreviewed Use
To the extent permitted by applicable law, no liability is assumed for damages, losses, or consequential harm resulting from users adopting, publishing, sharing, or relying on Mikis outputs without appropriate human review.
This applies in particular to damages resulting from:
- inaccurate or incomplete answers,
- hallucinations or false conclusions,
- ambiguous wording,
- incorrect summaries or classifications,
- translation errors,
- incorrect source references,
- missing human validation or approval procedures.
Mandatory statutory liability provisions remain unaffected.
7. Data Sources and Third-Party Systems
Depending on the configuration, Mikis may be connected to internal documents, knowledge repositories, external services, APIs, databases, or AI models. The quality of its outputs depends significantly on the quality, structure, timeliness, and suitability of the underlying data sources, as well as on the selected models and system settings.
Where third-party systems, models, APIs, hosting services, or external providers are used, their availability, behavior, pricing, performance, and terms of use may change at any time. Such factors are outside the control of the provider of Mikis.
8. Responsible Use of AI
The use of AI requires appropriate legal, organizational, and professional safeguards. Users and deploying organizations are responsible for ensuring that Mikis is used only in an appropriate, lawful, and controlled manner.
Where statutory transparency, documentation, review, training, governance, or compliance obligations apply, these must be fulfilled by the respective operator or user.
9. Availability and Technical Changes
No entitlement exists to uninterrupted, unchanged, or error-free availability of Mikis, its individual functions, interfaces, modules, models, or integrations.
Technical developments, security-related changes, model replacements, interface updates, retrieval adjustments, and platform enhancements remain reserved, provided that the essential purpose of the system is not unreasonably impaired.
10. Data Protection and Data Sovereignty
Mikis is designed for privacy-conscious and sovereign data processing. Depending on the operating model, data may be processed locally, in a private cloud, or in a controlled connection with selected external services.
Regardless of the chosen setup, it must always be assessed before productive use which legal, organizational, and technical data protection requirements apply in the конкретen use case.
The applicable privacy notice and project-specific agreements remain binding.
11. Priority of Individual Agreements
If separate contracts, proposals, statements of work, implementation agreements, service descriptions, support agreements, or general terms and conditions have been concluded for specific services or projects, such individual agreements shall prevail over this usage notice to the extent of their respective scope.
